Nie vaardigehid, geletterdheid, integriteit, insig of enige ander kwaliteit wat noodsaaklik is vir besluitneming in landsbelang nie!
Zuma's salary increase approved

Despite opposition parties putting up a fierce fight against granting President Jacob Zuma's salary increase, it has been approved.
The five percent raise was recommended by the Independent Commission on the Remuneration of Public Office Bearers in January and came before the National Assembly for approval this afternoon.
It will see Zuma's salary increase by just over R130 000 meaning he’ll now be earning just over R2.7-million.
Nkandla and the dismal state of the economy loomed large as opposition parties opposed the move.
Voting to increase the President’s salary is usually a formality, but not this time.
The Democratic Alliance (DA)’s Mmusi Maimane said: "I oppose this motion, I don’t believe the president must get an increase and I think this house must take a strong stance and hold him accountable for this economy going in the wrong direction and for his benefits at Nkandla."
EFF chief whip Floyd Shivambu said: "We feed him, we dress him, we pay for his legal fees we even build a cattle kraal for him, we even build a chicken run for him."
But, the ANC’s majority won the day.
Freedom Front Plus Chief Whip Dr Corne Mulder proposed an amendment to radically adjust the president’s salary
"I hereby move on behalf of the Freedom Front Plus that all the words after 'that the house' be deleted replaced and indicate that the salary of the president be reduced to R1."
When it came to the vote, the ANC’s majority held sway. Zuma’s salary goes up to just over R2,7-million from R2,6-million, and will be backdated to 1 April (Beklemtoning van die AVP)
