Ingryping in onafhanklike state se binnelandse aangeleenthede, afluistering, spioenering, polisie brutaliteit, aanhouding sonder verhoor, marteling en selfs moord word genoem as sake wat nie by die Amerikaners tuishoort nie. Hierdie onrustigheid kan tot geweld oorgaan wat skynbaar met die polisiemag beheer moet word, word aangevoer.
